Sunflower hearts are the kernels of the black sunflower seeds and as a result, they share all the same nutrients as black sunflower seeds and wild birds love them.
Sunflower hearts do have a couple of advantages over black sunflower seeds, they’re easier for the birds to eat because they don’t have to remove the husks which usually build up around your feeding area.
